There’s a Chance Kate Middleton Could Meet With Prince Harry During His U.K. Visit
Prince Harry is gearing up to return to the U.K. to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games next week—and while he will likely meet up with his father King Charles, a visit between himself and his brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, has yet to be confirmed.
According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, there’s a chance Middleton will agree to see Harry, but only if King Charles requests her to. “If the King asks, she will do it, but Charles being the sensitive and understanding soul he is, would be unlikely to ask such a favor from his adored daughter-in-law,” Seward told The Mirror, adding: “The time must be right, and it not right now.”
As for William, Seward said it’s also “unlikely” he will want to meet with Harry. “William has enough going on and doesn’t need the stress,” she explained. “But he might realize Harry will want to see Kate after her cancer diagnosis as they were once so close.”
She continued, “It remains to be seen if Kate is willing and able to face up to it. Does she have the energy to begin to try and heal the rift between the brothers or will she prefer to remain in the background?”
Middleton, who announced she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy in March, reportedly hasn’t been in the best place with Harry since the release of his bombshell memoir, Spare, in January 2023. A source previously told Us Weekly that the Princess of Wales “feels that Harry’s actions are atrocious,” adding, “She is appalled at him for dragging her name through the dirt and is finding it hard to forgive.”
Despite the tension between Harry and the Wales family, he and his wife, Meghan Markle, released a statement in support of Middleton following her emotional video announcement, which read: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
