Taylor Swift fans freak out over Morgan Wallen’s jersey during concert featuring Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes

Country superstar Morgan Wallen has been caught some heat from Taylor Swift fans after choosing to wear an interesting jersey during his special Arrowhead Stadium concert.

The event itself made enough headlines on its own after the concert had to be delayed by 40 minutes due to one man’s threats to shoot Kansas City Chiefs superstars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, leading to his arrest.

But when it did begin, the concert proved to be a huge success, with Kelce, Mahomes and fellow Chiefs superstar Chris Jones taking to the stage to accompany Wallen.

Interestingly, though, Wallen wore a jersey with kicker Harrison Butker’s number 7 on. That’s relevant because Butker made some hugely controversial statements about women and their place in the world during a commencement speech at Benedictine College earlier this year.

Taylor Swift’s fans, the Swifties, did not take kindly to the sight of Wallen wearing Butker’s number, reacting en masse on social media.

One wrote: “Travis Kelce you are more than a taytrier you are a TAYSABOTEUR.” Another added: “do something @taylorswift13”.

Crucially, Wallen had his own name on the back of the jersey and not Butker’s, so it could easily have been the case that the number 7 is Wallen’s favorite digit, rather than him showing any kind of support to the controversial kicker.
