Prince William’s pals test Kate Middleton’s patience with hurtful move
Kate Middleton, who has received several titles for her dynamic personality and people-friendly nature, never lost cool over Prince William’s friends’ hurtful comments.
During her university days, William’s pals and other friends used to test Princess Kate’s patience with their hilarious and annoying comments and teasing gestures.
Kate Middleton, now honoured with the title of Princess of Wales, remains endearingly down-to-earth to those in her inner circle, including the Prince and her own family who lovingly call her Catherine.
Yet it has come to light that before Kate became the part of the royal family, a rather unflattering pet name was coined by his ‘snooty’ friends, poking fun at her mother Carole Middleton’s past occupation as a British Airways flight attendant.
As per reports, some of William’s friends would slyly say “Doors to Manual” in reference to Kate, as royal expert Katie Nicholl divulged on the Vanity Fair Dynasty podcast.
Katie went on praising the Princess for her dignified response to them, saying: “To her full credit, Kate never rose to it – the snootiness of the upper classes levelled at what they called the en-masse Middletons.”
There’s no doubt that the mean-spirited moniker wasn’t water off a duck’s back, but an aide confided to the Sunday Times Magazine that Kate recalled: “It was never water off a duck’s back, but she has extraordinary strength of character and resilience. I’ve never once seen or heard of her losing her temper.”
Since marrying Prince William in 2011 – the mother of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – has become an essential part of the royal family and is on her way to becoming Queen consort.
When the Princess of Wales made an appearance at the Chelsea Flower Show and when asked by a schoolgirl about what it’s like being a royal, she gave a refreshingly honest five-word response: “You have to work hard”.
