Przemysław Korsak i Jakub Stepun nie awansowali do finału igrzysk olimpijskich. Polska kajakarska dwójka dobrze wystartowała i na półmetku była na trzeciej lokacie. Pod koniec dystansu Biało-Czerwonych wyprzedzili jednak wszyscy rywale.
Świetnie igrzyska olimpijskie zaingerowali Przemysław Korsak i Jakub Stepun. Polska kajakarska dwójka na 500 m wygrała zwój bieg eliminacyjny, awansując bezpośrednio do półfinału. O zwycięstwie musiał zdecydować dopiero fotofinisz.

W półfinale Biało-Czerwoni płynęli w pierwszym wyścigu. Do finału awansują po cztery najlepsze osady i to obecność wśród nich była celem Stepuna i Korsaka. Polacy dobrze wystartowali, na połowie dystansu zajmując trzecią lokatę. Stawka wyrównała się bardziej w drugiej części wyścigu. Nagle Polacy spadli z wysokiej lokaty na ostatnią pozycję
