Fans Are Convinced Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Son Archie Has a Royal Doppelganger
A recent royal birthday has fans thinking about who in the royal family takes after whom. And after discussions wrapped up about how much Princess Charlotte looks like Prince William in her recent birthday portrait, discussions popped up about who looks like Prince Archie.
(That is, of course, if you believe Prince Archie is real. *Eye roll* But more on that later.)
Princess Eugenie posted a sweet birthday tribute to her husband Jack Brooksbank on Instagram today.
“Happy Happy Birthday my love,” she captioned the carousel of photos. “Always making joy wherever you are. 😍😍😍”
Two pictures are heartwarming shots of the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson with her husband, and one is of Brooksbank with their oldest son, August. The couple shares 3-year-old “Augie” and baby Ernest (“Ernie”), and they’re such a down-to-earth family of four.
In the photo, Brooksbank and Augie are at the beach. They’re standing by the shore, and it looks like Brooksbank has put long strands of seaweed on his head. They’re being held down by his hat, but Augie reaches for them in delight. It’s such a sweet and silly father-son moment.
August looks so much like Archie 🥰,” one fan commented. And even though it’s a profile shot, we can see some resemblance between Princess Eugenie’s eldest and her cousin Prince Harry’s eldest. They both have light wavy brown hair and rosy cheeks.
Other followers did feel the need to resurface the conspiracy that Meghan Markle faked her pregnancy and Prince Archie isn’t real — “Your son looks like the pics M&H always use for their ‘son’. 🤦♀️” — but if you missed that theory, be glad you did and be done with the internet.
Now is a busy time of year for the royal family in terms of birthdays. Not only did Brooksbank celebrate his today, but Princess Charlotte turned 9 yesterday and her little brother Prince Louis turned 6 last week. Their parents Prince William and Kate Middleton also marked the special occasions with birthday tributes — although the portraits of each child weren’t quite as carefree as Princess Eugenie’s post for her husband.
As for Prince Archie, he will turn 5 on Monday (May 6). It’s hard to say whether his parents will post a new picture of him. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are notoriously private about their son and daughter Princess Lilibet who turns 3 next month.
We’ve been really conscious of protecting our kids as best as we can and also understanding the role that they play in this really historic family,” Markle said in her and Prince Harry’s Netflix docuseries.
“As a dad and as parents, I think consent is a really key piece to this,” he continued. “That if you have children, it should be your consent to what you share.”
Because you or someone else might share a photo of your son without your or his consent and then he can see how many members of the peanut gallery think he’s just a figment of the imagination.
