EXCLUSIVE: Meghan Markle issued warning as she’s slammed for ‘hypocrisy’ over new luxury brand
Meghan Markle “needs to foster the right PR strategy”, according to a public relations guru who has seemingly slammed the Duchess for her recent “hypocrisy”.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, recently soft-launched her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard. The mother of two has a history of running websites, with her known for running lifestyle blog The Tig before marrying into the British Royal Family.
On Friday, Meghan’s new brand’s Instagram account emerged on the platform, with it now having already amassed half a million followers. Unveiling the name, logo and a short video hinting at a very domestic-themed brand, Meghan could be seen in a kitchen cooking up a storm and then arranging some flowers.
But a public relations guru has now weighed in on the brand, which will soon be launched with a website, with it also reported the company is set to coincide with a new cookery show on Netflix featuring Meghan, where she will be making and selling her own products.
Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR exclusively told The Mirror that if Meghan is set on building her popularity up, “a brand launching with a video like this isn’t going to resonate” with the general public. She asked: “Who has a luxury kitchen like that in their home? And you also have to ask how much the products are going to cost as it’s unlikely they’ll be affordable.”
