Beloved Modern Family star set to join the cast of Kim Kardashian’s new Hulu legal drama All’s Fair
Variety confirmed Wednesday that the actor, 78 — best known for his comedic roles in the iconic sitcoms Married With Children and Modern Family — has been cast.
The outlet reported O’Neill will have a recurring role but did not reveal any details about his character.
Kardashian, 43, leads the show by American Horror Story showrunner Ryan Murphy.
All’s Fair was first announced in December and it is the first series under Murphy’s new overall deal at Disney.
The show will follow Kim playing the powerful divorce lawyer in Los Angeles, who runs a successful all-female law firm.
It will be inspired by Kardashian’s actual lawyer, Laura Wasser, who represented her in divorce proceedings with Kanye West and Kris Humphries.
All’s Fair is created by Jon Robin Baitz (Brothers & Sisters, Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans) and Joe Baken.
Kim will star opposite several acclaimed actresses, including Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson and Niecy Nash.
Halle Berry was forced to drop out of the show’s A-list cast due to a scheduling conflict just days after her addition was confirmed.
She was also expected to be among the show’s executive producers.
Kardashian, her mother/manager Kris Jenner and Murphy will all executive produce with Baitz and Baken.
Jamie Pachino, Laura Greene, and Richard Levine will also serve as writers and executive producers.
The series will start production later this year, and it was one of five TV shows to receive a share of $58 million in California tax credits.
The show is expected to film for 97 days in California and 10 additional days outside of Los Angeles.
Hulu is expected to release the show sometime in 2025 though no premiere date has been given yet.
On the latest season of Kim’s Hulu show The Kardashians, it was revealed that American Horror Story creator Murphy came to Kris’ home to pitch this series, after Kim starred in AHS: Delicate.
News of Ed’s casting comes one week after Kim’s on-screen love interest in All’s Fair was revealed.
The 43-year-old SKIMS founder will star opposite hunky model/actor Matthew Noszka, 31, in the highly-anticipated Hulu series, according to Deadline.
The outlet reported last Wednesday that Noszka had been cast as a series regular and the he would be playing the part of Chase Monroe.
Noszka confirmed the news via Instagram and teased further details about his character
