In the second round, the American could face Germany’s Tatjana Maria or a qualifier, while Świątek could meet either a qualifier or Australia’s Daria Saville.Świątek might encounter Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova or Italy’s Elisabetta Cocciaretto in the third round, while Gauff could face 27th seed Elina Svitolina or Anhelina Kalinina. The fourth round could see Gauff facing her compatriot Emma Navarro or Marta Kostyuk, while Świątek may go up against either Mirra Andreeva or Liudmila Samsonova.
