Wojciech Fibak with an important warning for Iga Świątek. “You can be worried”

Since her defeat in the US Open quarterfinals by Jessica Pegula (September 5), Iga Świątek has not been seen in any tennis tournaments. After a month of silence and absence from the court, explained by personal matters, the WTA ranking leader announced on Friday that she is ending cooperation with her previous coach Tomasz Wiktorowski, under whose guidance she became the world’s number one racket. The news came out of the blue, although Świątek’s long absence from the world’s courts could have heralded that something was in the air.

There is cause for concern about Iga Świątek’s further withdrawals. In recent weeks, she has preferred to stay at home than run around the courts in Asia. After withdrawing from the start in Wuhan, she will enter the Tournament of Champions straight away. Even with her exceptional talent, it will be a difficult challenge. It looks like Iga will return to play after almost two months of break – says Fibak in an interview with the sport.pl portal

The legendary tennis player points out another important fact. According to Fibak, it would have been better if Świątek had won before the break, instead of being away from the court after a painful defeat. “She would have come back with more self-confidence,” says Fibak.

The valued expert does not hide the fact that the nearly two-month break in competition may affect Iga Świątek’s attitude
